Orange County Mayors & City Leaders Endorse Peggy Huang For Congress
Huang’s race for the 45th Congressional District continues momentum as support consolidates around her candidacy continues.
IRVINE, CA --- Peggy Huang today announced the endorsement of Newport Beach Mayor Diane Dixon, Stanton Mayor David Shawver, Westminster Mayor Tri Ta, Yorba Linda Mayor Tara Campbell, San Marino Mayor Steven Huang, and Southern California Association of Governments President and Big Bear Lake Councilmember Bill Jahn in choosing Huang as the best candidate running in the 45th Congressional District.
"With her experience as California Deputy Attorney General and her tenure on the City Council, Peggy Huang has worked to improve public safety," Dixon said. "She has a tireless work ethic and actively engages with her constituents. I endorse Peggy for Congress."
"I am endorsing Peggy Huang because I am convinced of her commitment to serve her community," SCAG President Jahn said. "Peggy understands the issues facing families in Orange County and will work to protect public safety, while focusing on housing affordability, homelessness, health care, and economic opportunity."
"I truly appreciate these most recent endorsements that my campaign has received. Having so many local leaders joining our supporters is a true honor." Huang said. This most recent string of endorsers join Orange County Third District Supervisor Donald Wagner, former California State Assemblywoman Young Kim, California State Assemblyman Phillip Chen, and California State Senator Ling Ling Chang, all of whom have endorsed Peggy Huang for Congress.
The 45th Congressional District of California includes the cities of Irvine, Tustin, North Tustin, Lake Forest, Laguna Woods, Laguna Hills, Villa Park, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, and portions of the cities of Anaheim and Orange.
